  About Eddie

Wendy and I come from very different backgrounds. But everything about us, including our Biblical Studies, is perfectly complimentary. We believe that all denominations that have been birthed through doctrines of men have no value in the invisible Kingdom of Christ. If we lived 500 years ago, we would not be able to say that we were Pentecostal, or Methodist etc. In fact although this country was founded on belief in God, any religion or denomination that was founded in this country cannot be the Truth.

Although Wendy grew up in a Baptist environment and received a double Master's degree from an over-dispensational seminary, and although we have chosen to attend a "christian" church which was founded by the separation and beliefs of two men, we hold to the Truth of only the Bible. And we don't believe that separating ourselves from other Christians because of certain beliefs is the answer to sharing God's Truth. So we continue going to church just like everyone else- always willing to give answer to what we believe. Christianity is about unity, not division. Love and agreement, not argument.                                                                  Scroll Down for More

But take journey with me as I begin questioning my faith. This site was originally set up to promote Christianity and this Website is the result of the Holy Spirit working through one man. But recently I have come to question whether or not it is indeed the Holy Spirit that I have been listening to.

I did not grow up in church so I didn't have to battle any tradition or pre-conceived ideas about God, the Bible, Christ or His Church. I simply began reading with an open mind like the Bereans of Acts 17.

I started meeting with pastors and preachers. To my dismay, their beliefs are very different depending on what "church" you go to.  I silently asked myself, "do these guys even read their Bibles?"

The Journey: to believe or not to believe, that is the question

And now I am asking myself some pretty serious questions.

It’s my main interest not just to share my beliefs, but to share only what I feel God has shown me (whether you choose to believe it or not) and to put all of the facts and Bible doctrine together in a way that allows people to make an educated decision for themselves on what to believe...to help people to teach themselves (and others) to think and ask questions, looking for answers only in the Bible. There is a responsibility that comes with receiving Christ. And a natural desire to share truth when one finds TRUTH!

We too often label our beliefs...Existentialism, Unitarianism, Catholicism, etc; (make up any word for them you would like). But we as Christians should understand that if we were blessed enough to have studied directly under an Apostle, we would have no idea what all of these labels meant because they did not exist until MAN brought them into the picture. We need to see that what makes a "Baptist" a "Baptist" is Baptist (i.e. man-made) beliefs. What makes a "Catholic" Catholic is man-made catholic writings.  We find Doctrinal Truth only from the Apostles during their lives, and in these last days only from the Bible.

We have become the apostate church- Lukewarm. As "theologians" and know-it-all's we have introduced doctrine after doctrine of man into what God (through Christ and His apostles) made pure and righteous. We have quarreled for centuries over little things that separate what Christ intended to be "one, as He and the Father are one".

Now I have written a book that I am going post on this site to change any and every one that I can - through love of the the human soul and by the power of the Holy Spirit-to try and explain our existence and calling from Christ in a manner that every one can understand.  And in doing so, tear down the walls of denomination that we ourselves have built.

"Organized Religion" seems to contradict everything that is taught in the Bible, but there is no denying that I feel a true relationship with God just as ANYONE can. I hope to share that relationship as well.

When I began wanting to know God, I looked in many churches and other religions for someone to believe in something that made sense to me-  something that they had a reason to believe besides the fact that they have just always believed a certain way. I was discouraged. How can the religions and especially the Bible be so ambiguously interpreted if it is really the Word of God? So I set out on my journey to find answers to my questions. For more than 2 years I read the Bible over and over from cover to cover comparing it to the teachings of other religions (i.e. Taoism, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, Bahá'í, etc.) in as many of the original languages I was able to comprehend.

After coming to the conclusion that only Christianity made sense, I then had to figure out which of the hundreds of denominations of Christianity I was to believe in...

I hope that the answers I found will help show that finding Truth is a choice, a volitional issue. I CHOSE to continue searching for TRUTH instead of being content in some little corner of Denominationism. We have become separated by our perspectives of Truth. But Real Truth is not affected by our perspective. Real Truth is found only in the Bible. I say that because I have searched many books, religions and belief systems and have tested and tried as many as anyone I know. The only thing that can possibly stand up against science and History that I can find is the Bible!

I will keep my writing simple and understandable,  and try to explain ideas rationally (making things make sense), empirically (having some sort of evidence for things), and explain my faith (simply believing) when an un-answerable question comes up. Some things are just considered concrete with or without evidence because it is Truth that matches the Bible. So in the following pages, let me show you how I came to finally believe that everything in the Bible is true so that you too can have confidence in knowing why you are here...

Let it be known first and foremost, that in my new-found state of questioning, I have lost my solace. Without the knowledge that there is a God, and He is my savior I am MISERABLE. It's not evidence but it is very telling. What evidence is there that you are in love outside of action? NONE! You just 'feel' it. Yet we know it to be true and see it because of our actions toward the one we love. Christianity is very similar. we know the Bible is true and Jesus is real because we feel it, and it shows in our actions.

It's obvious why this could be a big deal to the world, why is it such a big deal to me? Mainly because I WANT TO BE HAPPY AGAIN. But I don't want to believe something untrue for the sake of that happiness. And also because it shapes my decision-making.

I married my wife because I thought God told me to. I moved to Nashville because I thought He told me to. I took my current job, joined a church, had children, bought a house, started ignoring my family, gave up music and friends...and countless other decisions have been made in my life because I sincerely believed that I was moved by the Holy Spirit.

So many of us "christians" only accept what we have learned. We know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that's based on our own experiment, experience and intellect. We know NOTHING based on historical fact. Biblical knowledge means little when you get to this point. I don't personally know anyone who knows as much about the Bible as I do. That's not arrogant, it's just a simple fact.  But if you're not sure the Bible is true, then where do you go for that proof? Who can council you? you need something before and above the Bible. You can't say, "well the Bible says this" because it holds no weight in your world.

Which brings me to the purpose of this new website...Read Titus 1:10-16... The Bible basically tells us to shut the mouths of people telling half-truths. It tells us to examine our beliefs and be ready to give account for why and what we believe. Most christians are unable to do so, and so in that and many other ways, we are our own worst enemies and the very reason that many people are willing to consider that Christ could be God.

The purpose of this website is not necessarily to provide answers. I myself am still learning and don't have all the answers. But it is to help people start to ask questions and help them to learn some really good questions to ask in order to come to the realization of the True Kingdom of God and how it can be identified. And if it is TRUTH, it will come to light on this site. If it is MYTH, then that too will be brought to light.

We are all one Church who are Christ's Elect, so why are we separated into denominations? Why have we allowed men to come into the churches of Christ and change the written Word of God? Is it TRULY the written word of God and is there any PROOF!?

It is out of Love that this site exists... love of Wisdom, Truth and YOU.
