Islam: my studies Does The Qur'an Hold any Truth? Search the Qur'an yourself The most amazing thing to me in studying Christian Doctrine Vs. Islamic beliefs is the "Eschatology" or the "end times" similarities of the Bible and the Qur'an. The Qur'an is basically supposed to be words (or a vision) that "Allah" gave to the prophet Muhammad 500 years after Christ was crucified. Like Christianity and Judaism, Muslims believe that the old testament Scriptures are inspired by God. They claim to basically serve the same God as Jews and Christians, but they do not believe that Jesus was the Son of God. They believe He was a just a prophet like Muhammad. That being said, it must be obvious that they DO NOT believe in the same God as Christians and Jews. |

have only read 9 of the 100 or so chapters in the Qur'an, but that was plenty enough to find contradictions, geographical errors, etc. It was hard enough to continue reading after the first five, but it was necessary in order to understand the message of the Qur'an. Aside from inconsistencies, the over-all message is against Christianity and Jews. And it is violent! The Qur'an repeatedly commands "believers" meaning Muslims, to kill unbelievers (meaning Jews and Christians). "Kill them where you find them" it says in Surah 2(al-baqarah) vs. 190. Islam is a supremist religion that has zero tolerance for anyone who is not Muslim. And it is not hard to see from what is going on in the world that most Muslims share this Philosophy. We cannot put all Muslims in one category any more than we can put all atheists or Christians into one category. But let me try to sum it up in a few brief paragraphs. |

Islam: can we survive it? In the same Surah (chapter) it is written that "Abraham was neither a Jew or a Christian, but a Muslim." Surah 5:111 says " and when Allah revealed to Jesus' disciples to believe in me and my messengers they said 'we believe and we are Muslims( or we submit)." Of coarse we know these are silly things to write in a book supposedly written by a god, but by the time you finish reading this, you will see how it makes perfect sense to write the things that are written in the Qur'an by how they match up with True Bible Prophecy. Concerning Jesus, Surah 4(an-nisa) verse 157 says "And because of their saying (Jews boasting) '-We have killed messiah Jesus, son of Mary and messenger of Allah-' but they killed him not nor crucified Him, but the resemblance of Jesus was put over another man and they killed that man. And those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no knowledge and follow nothing but conjecture. For surely they killed him not. But Allah raised him up with his body unto himself. And there is none of the people of the scripture but must believe in him before his death when the angel of death appeared. And on the day of the resurrection he will be a witness to them. (verse 178) O people of scripture, do not exceed the limits of your religion nor say of Allah anything but the truth. Jesus messiah, son of Mary was nothing but a messenger of Allah and his word." The resurrection the Qur'an speaks of is basically speaking of the end times, similar to Christian and Jewish beliefs on end times yet different. Muslims believe that Jesus never died (as shown above) and that he is in a state of suspended animation right now but will return with Muhammad basically to fight the last battle between Jews and Muslims. If we compare that to Christian beliefs, we see that the anti-Christ and false prophet will deceive many. I used to ask myself "how is the whole world going to be deceived if the Bible clearly says that the anti-Christ and false prophet are coming? Even people that don't believe in the Bible know about The Revelation." But then I read the Qur'an, and saw exactly how so many people are going to be deceived. The number of Muslims in this world is growing rapidly and surpassing the number of Christians. These Muslims are literally waiting on the anti-Christ and false prophet. They, along with most of the world are going to attack Israel at the last battle or war. This fact matches up with teachings from Christians, Jews and Muslims alike. But in Christian and Jewish literature, the difference is that it says God will do a great miracle and save Israel during that attack. And the True Messiah will return.
